This single story bungalow was built by G.A. Nichols in 1919 as a stucco exterior instead of the typical lap siding exterior. It’s first owner, Charles C. Post, was the Oklahoma City Police Chief during the transition from territory to statehood and organized a “flying squadron” of officers to stop bootleggers & bawdy houses.

This home was restored in 2025 by Eric Anderson, long time University of Oklahoma professor and Chautauqua resident.

There are few examples of a more complicated history than this Mesta Park home - from a murder in 1930 that shocked the neighborhood to an extensive renovation that changed the 2nd floor and roofline following a fire/explosion during Mesta Park’s designation as a local Historic Preservation District in 1994.

In 2025 this home received a major exterior rehabilitation including new roof, siding, windows, and architectural details as well as masonry repairs with chemically bonding mineral paint instead of latex/acrylic paint.

This home at 722 NE in Oklahoma City features Tudor Revival architecture with a Francis I style grand living rooms and art deco details the reflect the grandeur of the roaring ‘20s in Oklahoma City.

Our work in 2024 was a historic exterior that focused on major masonry repairs, windows, storm windows, water management, carpentry repairs, painting, and interior plaster repairs.

The Steward of this home had one big request - remove the decades of white paint that had been added to the home.

In 2023-24, we undertook testing and completing non-blasting methods for paint removal, impact resistant roof replacement, restoration of the Juliet balcony, removal of non-historic siding, uncovering two octagon windows, wood shutters, window repairs, storm windows and painting.

Built circa 1902 for Richard K. Wootten, a prominent early civic leader and President of Chickasha Cotton Oil Company, the home was then sold to the owner of the Fulton Motor Co. While Ford and GM had lengthy waiting lists following World War II, Fulton was able to fill a growing need by pre-purchasing Studebakers and housing them at the local airport hanger.

In 2026 the home was purchased by Jay Fulton, grandson of the 2nd owner, and is currently being restored.
