Some of the most beautiful homes in America were crafted by the most talented masons in the last hundred years. 

Brick, stucco, and stone can last a lifetime, but it needs maintenance, cleaning, and repair. A mason must know not only the method of bricklaying but must also understand history. Brick before 1940 is different than that of today. A well meaning contractor can destroy a beautiful home or building by merely using the wrong mortar or painting the brick.
